Trailer Man

I'm close to having enough songs for an album. I tried to get the harmonica out for this one but the heat had warped the reeds.

Oggy Bleacher

Trailer Man

I) I've never been mistaken
for an ivy-league snob
my friends are always saying, Oggy
you're an unrepentant slob

you won't find my star
on the hollywood walk of fame
but you might say I fit right in
on the sidewalk just the same

Chorus:
I'm a trailer man
sometimes I live in my van
once I lived in a volkswagon bus (on a labrador shore,)
with a girl who had a dark tan   (cooking salmon in a pan)
I'm a trailer man
most times I live where I can
a parking lot, or a dead end street
I'll always be a trailer man

II) Call me white trash or an ignorant hick
it don't matter to me
I'll grow my weed in a vacant lot
and put a guitar on my knee

I listen to Hank Williams Jr., Merle Haggard, and Bob Wills
Life is just too damn easy
when you haven't got any bills

chorus

III) I'll never make my mom and dad proud
but who are they to talk?
I've been living in a goddamn trailer
since the day that I could walk

I don't want a fancy house
with a ridiculous bank loan
give me a dirty trailer
that I can call my home

Chorus
